Thursday Thirteen
Thirteen Things about HolyMama!

1. My name is Kelsey. When I type it, I almost always misspell it "Kesley" and then have to go back and correct it.

2. Wednesday night I made a dinner that everyone really enjoyed. That never, ever, ever happens.

3. Apparently in order to cook in such a way that pleases everyone, you must use ALL of the following: cream cheese, cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheese, and parmesan. (Fattening just to think about, huh?)

4. My son is worried about his cholesterol level. He’s 5. (Maybe he should worry, if I keep cooking like that!)

5. Carol pointed out that I could get the award for Grossest, since I’ve blogged about leg hair, vomit, and poo. This week. (She’s right!)

6. My husband and I and all our kids have disproportionately long arms. It’s a bit apish, really. Long sleeved shirts that fit are a challenge for all of us.

7. I ‘outed’ myself and told my mother and sister that I blog.

8. My mother is currently trying to think up a more pleasant sounding word for ‘blog.’ She’s funny that way.

9. My mom spent hours reading, as she said, "every word." Are ya blushing FOR me?

10. I’m glad so many of you are thoughtful and deep and have blogs that read like the best written devotionals. I need that. (And my stuff is clearly – and a little regretfully  – not like that.)

11. Seth-4mth learned to ‘squawk’ today. Loudly. For long periods of time. He was happy, though. My mom said he sounded like a wounded blue jay.

12. Mike couldn’t stand it and kept hoping it was time for him to nurse and go to sleep already.

13. I thought it was precious. In an earsplitting way.

Number 10–not true! Your posts about when you accepted Christ really got to me. Well, I guess it didn’t sound like a devotional, but that’s why I liked it. It sounded sincere.

I’m always getting two letters reversed when I type; my fingers get to going so fast they outrun each other.

I’m so glad I found this blog. Karin (Chaotic Home) directed me here. I, too, write inspirational romances and I did a Thursday Thirteen, too, after reading yours.

I’ve got ape arms, too. They make me decorate the top of the church’s Christmas tree every year ’cause I’m the only lady that can reach that high. yippee…

And don’t start getting all devotional on us every single day. I come over here for your light-hearted wit and charm. The fact that you blog about gross stuff sometimes makes coming here an adventure!

My list is up, too.

I get two letters in my name mixed up, and I only have 4 letters in my name. LOL!

Only my husband knows about this my blog. I have a whole separate blog for family…..just a bunch of boring stuff for them to read and pictures to see. Glad your family liked your dinner, that’s rare in my house too.

Ha ha. I know EXACTLY what post you’re talking about that made you blush for your mom to read. We loved it.

Look on the bright side. Now your Mom knows not to bother you at night.

I’m still try to rectify that post with the post about not shaving your legs completely. Somehow the two just don’t fit together in my mind…

I looove your posts. they keep me laughing. I love all of the devotional ones too. I need those. Sometimes though, I feel really dumb – like how do they know so much. So, as you can see – it’s all good!

Well I looked at the Thursday thirteen link to put myself on because it sounded fun, but when I read how commited you have to be I balked! Sorry, I guess I’m scared of commitment, seeing how everytime I make plans to do anything they are foiled by throw up, poopy diapers, screaming tantrums, or exhaustion. I guess it’s learned behavior. :) Well I came out and told my Mom about my blog too, and she won’t even read it. Something about not enough time? I guess she has a life. Mom’s can be so snobby sometimes! :) Well I love your blog and I don’t come here for devotionals, I come here for a laugh and to feel bonded to someone in my shoes! Besides devotion to God can be shown in your everyday actions, like what you blog about! It’s clean but still hilarious! In other words you make reality funny! Thanks! P.S. I have ape arms too! Maybe it’s something to do with all that cheese we cook in our dinners!

Brave woman. I hate that people I know read my blog. I ran into a woman at the grocery store that I hadn’t seen in almost 2 years that mentioned she had read my blog! Ugh! Totally makes me want to edit myself more. I love it that my mom doesn’t have the internet.

I love the sqawking phase, my 8mo. old is doing that too. It’s just not so fun when I’m trapped in the car with it and the older sisters are doing ‘back-up’ with her.

My 4 month old son is squwaking, too! Maybe they were communicating?

It’s simply adorable how he tried to mimick the sounds he hears coming out of his own mouth… then gets a look on his face, like… did I just do that?

That was fun to read!
I’ll do this next Thursday because at the moment, I am just too lazy to think. I am burned out!
Do you do this every Thursday?

#4 sounds like the typical ingriendents that my mother-in-law uses when she cooks. LOL.

And yes I am a bit embarrassed for you. So far, the only family who know about my blog is my hubby and his siblings. Hubby reads my blog, I don’t think his siblings do though. I’m not sure my friends read my blog either for that matter.

My 13 are up.

That’s so sweet that your mom is catching up on your blog! I can’t mine to read my blog for NOTHIN’. And you know it’s bad when I start talking like I’m from the south, because I’m not.

I often mistype my name as Hen. I don’t know why…

Thanks for stopping by!

I have NO IDEA. I’m still catching up too. It’s like a TT hang over LOLOL. Seriously. I tried to visit your TT yesterday but your blog or the blog world just wouldn’t let me do it! And if it did that means I replied in my sleep. Who knows.

Good to meet a new blogger… and I have no idea what that word means. Who’s using it? LOL?

Cheers,
Kdubs

Hi “Kesley” nice to meet you. *grin*

My mother and sister read my blog too. It’s weird sometimes trying to talk to them because they’ll be like, “Oh, we already know that, we read it on your blog.” LOL So…it’s a good thing because I don’t have to repeat my stories and a bad thing because, c’mon, my family reads it! Which means I’m severely limited to what I can post. Grr. lol

Thanks for popping by and have an awesome weekend!

I get my letters mixed too! I didn’t realize what a phenomenon this was! Great list!

I dyed my hair black once, hoping for a deep brown…but no, it was elvira black..blue-black as a matter of fact. I never regretted anything more. I tried powder laundry soap at a hair dresser to get it out, but it only ended up dry and black. It was just aweful. That was about 10 years ago too. Girls are so dumb some times. :P
