Hello, From Survivor#1

Wednesday night was the Night of Vomit around here. Out of sheer brilliance I went to bed early, which allowed me a few hours sleep before the chaos ensued. Poor Caden-2yr!  No more nasty details there, except to say that at 4 am when Mike suggested I take a nice warm shower, what he really meant was "You have chunks in your hair, but I’m not gonna say it." [Note: No, I do not read 'hidden meanings' very well at 4 am, and I did not get another opportunity for a shower until noon the next day.]

Thursday was pure survival. And last night was the Night of Storms. Poor Caden-2yr! He is afraid of thunder and lightning, so he ‘slept’ with me. Mike, the official Vomit Cleaner Upper of this home, had left for a trip. Before. The. Vomiting. Ceased.

I’m an awful stand-in for that role. Awful. I tend to add to the mess before it gets better. Anyway. Glad to be back. If you see a stomach virus coming, run really fast the other way while praying.

ewwwww… so sorry! I don’t know if you read my google post the other day, but my blog is one of the top ‘finds’ when people are doing nasty searches for kid puke, etc. A few more posts like this, and you, too could haenion of ranking high on that list! grin

The only thing worse than dealing with vomit is dealing with it without sleep. Caden had 2 bad days, bless his heart, and you had to go along for the ride, ’cause that’s what Mama’s do—clean up the puke while gagging and yawning, while fighting off the THUNDER AND LIGHTNING MONSTER. LOL :)

Hope everything is all better today….got some sleep, and ickyness, and storms all gone. :)

Oh, we just had those same scenes playing in our home, a couple of weeks ago. I’m not too good with the cleaning up part either.

I hope you are all back in tip-top shape real soon!

wow! that is NO FUN! Especially with young kids since they don’t give you much warning.
Hope everyone is feeling better and it’s out of your home!

I’ll tell you what – if your last few weeks are any indication, you are due for a little SMOOTH SAILING time. :-) There are few things in life as humbling as taking care of a toddler with a stomach virus. Hope y’all stay well and have a wonderful weekend!

Well said, Kelsey. It is essential that we know our Shepherd’s voice. Otherwise the “voices” of the world take over and lead us into all sorts of lies. Thank you for sharing His voice on your heart.

Ewww…you poor thing. I hate when those things come around…throws everything off in the household.

Hope things are getting back to normal.
