Blogging From Tuesday Night…

Hi y’all. It’s Tuesday night, and I’m ‘pre-blogging.’ I’ll be home soon, and by the time you read these words i’ll probably REALLY, really, REALLY want to be home.

If you liked HolySIster’s poem, be sure to share the love. I want her to let me post more. (And shhhh! This is how we’re easing her into blogging… aren’t we so sneaky?!)

Ppostcard_pics_and_aug_06_018

Ethan-6yr and I had an entire, totally serious, conversation today that lasted about 10 minutes. This is not unusual. What IS unusual is that we only used variations of one word: meow.

It was an odd, spontaneous thing. He was on the couch, I walked over. He meowed. I looked at him for a moment and meowed back. We solemnly tried out different inflections and realistic attempts at mewing and meowing at each other. Then, like cats, one of us got bored and wandered off and that was the end of that.

It’s a weird world Ethan-6yr lives in, and I had a lovely visit.

Meow.

I love it when they let us visit their little worlds, don’t you?

I used to pretend to be a cat and meow at my mom until she’d give me a bowl of water to lap. The Geek and I meow at our cats, but it’s been a while since I’ve meowed at a person. Sounds like an inspiring conversation.

{sneakiness starts here}HolySister really needs to start blogging, ’cause I would SO read her blog! Her poem rocked! I’d be honored to read what is waiting in her head to be shared with the rest of the world.{end sneakiness}

I hope your trip was successful in whatever way possible, even in little ways. Every little step counts, right? I’m still praying for you. Looking forward to to you being back and blogging live instead of pre-blogging.

I occasionally get into deep conversations with the neighbors cat. The cat and I have fun and it drives the neighbor nuts, (which in my world is always a plus).

What a great mama to speak meow with the little one. Sounds like something I would do. And, can I just add that he looks exactly like YOU! (I got goose bumps). He is soooo adorable!

Well, meowing sounds a lot better than the growling we get around here sometimes!

HM, I may meet you and Ethan in that world sometime… I meow with my kids and the cat often since we’ve gotten the pet. My favorite part is when my son shakes his head again with more of an emphasis on what I didn’t understand the first time.

Meow, Meow Meeeeow Meow!

Well, I linked your post with her poem on it a couple posts ago. So, there, I’ve done my part:)

I loved the meow thing…it killed me! Too funny.
