Personally, I think everywhere should carry diet coke. I have based restraunt choices on the sheer fact of who had the coke product.

I’ve never been in a Starbuck’s. I just can not bring myself to pay their outrageous prices for some concoction that is only loosely based on coffee. If I want a milkshake, I go to Dairy Queen. If I want coffee, I make it myself (or go to Denny’s–they have really good coffee, with no added gunk). I had no idea that Starbuck’s, or any other beverage outlet, would not sell Diet Coke. That’s like having a cafe in the South, and refusing to serve ice tea!

I see nothing wrong with asking for a diet coke!
I often go into Starbucks and say…I don’t really like coffee but I am trying to start liking it (because all my friends do and I feel left out when we go to a coffee place…), what can I have? Normally I get a blank stare (I ask almost EVERY time I go in there…I am a coffee person wannabe). I am sure they see me coming and get ready to laugh!

BTW…Stacey’s comment made me laugh…I am that sister-in law!

No coffee in Starbucks? You are crazy! But that’s just my point of view. I say forget the diet stuff and order a Mocha Breve. Drink and be happy!

What’s wrong with ordering a diet coke…anywhere? If the store carries diet cokes…why are they surprised when someone orders it! Geesh!

As a non-coffee, non-chocolate consumer, there was a time when no coffee shop had anything for me. Then they started carrying things like chai tea latte, and steamer, and smoothie. Mmmmm. Yum. Now I actually like to stop now and then when hubby wants a mocha.

Oh, and by the way? White chocolate is definitely chocolate. Someone at Godiva tried to convince me otherwise once with a sample. I just about gagged. Uggh! It’s got cocoa…it’s definitely chocolate.
