Okay, done. But do you have any idea how much harder this is to do when you are 5 months pregnant?

I knew this day was coming, so last night when Mr. Right and I were *AHEM*ing, I had him do the check. He still says “All clear.”

Okay, after re-reading that comment, it sounds so profane. You know what we were doing; I just didn’t mean it to look so literal. Sorry HM. I’ll look before I post next time.

All clear. Thank you so much for doing this… I’ve never been able to remember to do this two months in a row on my own. And I have a family history of breast cancer on both sides, so it’s pretty important.

Shalee cracks me up every month. 8^)

All clear here.

I’ll be writing about this topic today and linking to you. We are just past the halfway point in the pepto fest for Breast Cancer Awareness month over at 5McCKids. Yippee!

All clear! Now if they only had a way to do a self test for our ovaries - we women would be in shape!!

P.S Thanks for making this a monthly post. You remind me to do it everytime. (Grams has Breast Cancer so it’s real important for me too.) I already have had a mammogram from a scare three years ago and I don’t want to have another.

So thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I never told you that last month I found a little lump during my BSE. The doctor says it’s just fibrous tissue, but to keep an eye on it.
This month, I’m all clear (except for that same bit of tissue, which hasn’t changed).
Thank you so much for the monthly reminder.

My NP checked me on the 14th. Not sure if you want to count that for your 25 SBEs, but at least I went in for the ever so pleasant annual!

I am getting “felt up” today by my OB/GYN-what fun this will be! I will let you know if I need prayers but for now I am clear.

I celebrate 15 years survival this month. I was 31 with three children when I found a lump. I was one of those women that said, “I’m healthy. I don’t drink or smoke. I breastfead my kids. This can’t be anything.”
And yet it was. I was given a 40% chance of surviving 5 years. It’s been 15.
Thanks for encouraging women to do their BSE.

I’m just about due to deliver my baby, so bse won’t work for me, but I think this is a wonderful idea!
Last weekend I was at Bath And Body Works and they have a little gel pack that makes the bse easier, I guess because your hand glides around easier and doesn’t stick to your skin?? I’m thinking of picking one up when I’m done nursing.

what a great idea! Now we just need to encourage the 20 something amongst us to be more aware about “women problems”.

22-year-old Greetings from a sunny Singapore =)

October 10th: Celebrated Breast Care Month by having the annual mammogram.

October 12th: Call-back for further tests. 3 nodules discovered.

October 13th: 2nd set of tests with follow-up ultra-sound: further tests required to determine nature of nodules.

October 18th: Breast MRI done.

October 20th: Conclusive results expected.

You are doing a good thing here every month reminding us to do our self-exams. While I faithfully do the self-exams, these nodules could not be felt…..still, the monthly reminders compell us to remember also, the annual exam, for woman over a certain age. Don’t hesitate! Smash those boobs! Find those nodules!

I feel like I need to take back the smash-part….mammograms really don’t hurt….it’s more of a visual! Thanks for keeping this important health concern in the forefront of our minds each month.

Diane

I had my annual exam on the 17th and my doc did an exam then…does that count? (But Shalee’s way sounds much more fun!) :-)

Thanks for the reminder … even though I’m late in posting, I actually remembered to do! And it’s a thumbs up!
