Laced with Excuses

Somehow I happened upon a new hobby. Quite by accident. I didn’t need a new hobby. Who has time? Actually, I’m being too kind. It was a Dear Friend’s Fault. Completely.

But now my thoughts are consumed with how to obtain a Mrs. Grossman Henry’s lace sticker or if eyelets are really worth the time. And if you understood the previous sentence, my hat is off to you. You clearly know how to balance the obsession with the blogging and i SO want to be you.

As soon as I find the elusive Henry’s lace.

scrapbooking? sounds like it to me. Don’t you just love new obsessions, um, I mean, hobbies?

And YES, you are that smart! :-)

I will bring you things if you want them when you come to Dallas. My hobby is collecting expensive supplies and never scrapbooking. :)
It’s mostly stickers and paper though. I quit before a lot of the other stuff got popular.

Welcome to the ranks! I must admit that my blogging has taken away from my scrapbooking but I’m getting back to it. It goes in spurts. I’m like Kelli too - I like to shop for scrapbooking stuff more than the actual scrapbooking. I have to stop myself!

I’m guessing scrapbooking, and after reading some of the previous comments it seems I am right. I have no idea who Mrs. Grossman Henry is, but I know stickers and eyelets are used in scrapping, so it seems to make sense.

I’m only a scrapbooker wannabe. I’ve got a bunch of stuff, but never got started with the actual scrapbooking part – you know the part where you actually make a scrapbook? My excuse? A combo of not enough time and feeling silly for scrapping with no kids in the photos. I mean really, how many pages can one make with pics of one’s cats before one just become the scary cat lady?

I scrapbook as well….but I also crochet edgings and lace sometimes….and it really didn’t sound like you were talking about scrapbooking to me…but I do enjoy both. and blogging. sorry, I guess it’s one of the perks of not having kids yet.

Aha! Pretty soon you’ll be calling yourself a “scrapper”. I do it too, but not much since we moved. You’ll soon learn that it makes a big mess and it’s not fun to pick it all up when someone calls to say their coming by to see the house! Ugh! But, I did ask John for a scrapping table for my Scrap/Sew room so I can start back.

Seems this house doesn’t want to sell anytime soon.

Jeana tried to get me into scrapbooking. She even helped me make a couple of pages. I guess I’m just not that creative. Most of my pictures are still in the little Wal-mart envelopes.

I love the idea of scrapbooking but don’t have the patience for it. I’ve found that card-making is much more gratifying for me since I can make one card and move on. I love to incorporate pictures into the cards, so it’s sort of the same thing without the wait.

It’s not a pit bull. It’s a Jack Russell Terrier like Wishbone.

I think.

Definitely not a pit bull.

I just read the other target post. Geez, that’s weird.

I love/hate target too. Once I watched them sign in their cleaning crew. They marked down every pieace of clothing they wore into the store INCLUDING THE COLOR OF THEIR UNDERWEAR. I was horrified. What the heck? They are so worried that underwear is going to be stolen that they’ll do that to employees? I would hate to work there.

Uh-huh — I get sucked in too — but then I burn out… within the hour … and my stuff sits for another 4 months … I pick it up … burn out within another 2 hours … it sits some more … etc.

But MAN! It’s an expensive hobby!

Ummm — what ever happened to the Wishbone shows? Are they still on? Sorry, just got sidetracked by Carol’s comment… from like SEVEN DAYS AGO!

Yeah. I’m on the ball like that! Call me swifty!

Wow… a recruit to the scrapping world. I didn’t really do paper scrapping, but I’m so addicted to digital scrapping. Let me know if you want to try it. I believe it’s easier, more convenient and cheaper. :D
