Rock the Vote for Fluff

I’ve been checking out the competition over here. I am the Lightweight. The Fluff. The People magazine mixed in with Time and Newsweek. The others are meat and potatoes, and this blog is pink and green swirled cotton candy. They can write analogies, probably, and I… I cannot.

what i CAN do, though, is cringe at the numbers that show just how badly I’m being beaten. Whose idea was THAT?!

Gah!

I love cotton candy! Besides, just look how much better you’re doing than some of the blogs in your category! You have 4 times as many votes as that Town Crier guy! You just gotta look at the bright side. :)

Oh Kelsey, in honor of you and Shannon, I’m hitting the library computers so that I can do the voting off of multiple computers. Yeah baby, do I have ingenutity or what? Hey, if I can’t win, I’ll do all that I can to see that my friends do!

I’m rocking the vote as fast as these little computers will let me…

Hello! I found your blog on the Weblogs finalist list… and love it! The 99 things list (yes, I read every single one – they boys are napping!) cracked me up! (particularly the abhorrence of the word “panties,” which I’ve never said aloud in my life…. and not needing your husband’s Co2 because you are not a plant. Hahaha! Kep up the good writing – goodbye! Voted for ya again. You’re doing great! I was a finalist last year for Best Design (thanks to rockin’ EWebscapes), and emailed everyone I remotely knew from high school, college, church, family, email buddies — anyone! I didn’t send a group email (people hate those) — I emailed each person individually and pasted in my passioned plea.

It only took about an hour, and I got back in contact with tons of people, who went from saying, “Huh? What’s a blog?” to becoming regular readers. It also helped that LaShawn Barber and some military guy named Sargeant Hook endorsed me. I’ve endorsed you on my blog. Hope it helps!

You’re not doing bad! Honest, I just voted (Again) and you’re third. You may not win but you WILL be in the top three… that is my prediction. Smile… how great is it that you got nominated.

Heck, I nearly voted for you and my husband is one of the other candidates! Great blog. It’s comforting to know that I’m not the only one who doesn’t like to be breathed on.
