you know who is really on top of her game? (right. not me.) Anessa. WAY TO GO!!
Anessa commented on the poo post that she had already checked, and it was done. yea!!! still don’t know what I mean?
Every 17th of the month, we meet here and say ‘hi. i did a breast self exam today, so yea for me!’ This way we remember to do it once a month like we’re supposed to (except today i almost forgot until it was late and i was away from the computer), and we create a small amount of accountability and positive support for developing this VERY important monthly habit. take care of yourselves, ladies. Go do it. Be cool like Anessa. Then come back and say ‘yea me!’ in comments, okay?!

I had a mammogram done this month, so do I get bonus points or something?
Oh, they checking on a structured cyst I’ve had the past 2 mammos, but they couldn’t find it this time…it’s all gone and everything is all clear!
And I got a cookie and a pink pocket calendar afterwards. =)

I had my annual mammogram this week. Now, keeping in mind, the technician sees hundreds of different kinds of boobs each day. She asks me if I’ve had surgery, and I don’t mean in a good way. I wear a sports bra so everything had been smashed, and I suppose I looked deformed for a bit. I said, “No, this is from nursing 3 children. The last one was a particularly violent nurser.” “Oh”, was all she could muster.
But I did get a rose afterwards!

Oh, I didn’t know we got extra points for the OB to do the exam and have a mammogram! Had both done this past month.. Everything clear!
It was only the 2nd time to ever have a mammogram done… can’t say I am real impressed.
I did get a weird look from the gal operating the machine when I asked if by chance there was a fire, if she could release me first before evacuating. Ever notice you stare at a “In case there is a fire” drawing and there is no emergency boob release button on that thing?

I’m slow to comment, but I checked a few nights ago.
