My Sincere Apologies to Deserving Individuals (who i hope never see it, nor the reason for the apology in the first place)

Typepad, WORK, please! We bloggers are keenly aware that it is national De-Lurking Week, and we need blogs and comment functions up and going, please!!

(that means you comment, even if you usually prefer not to. please. if not, it’s ok with me.)

you know, i wrote that last post and then realized much too late that it was STUPID. then i went into self berate mode, and i couldnt’ snap out of it, because typepad was down and i couldn’t come fix it and OH MY GOSH WHAT HAVE I DONE?

Capstone might be just the place I’d given up on finding. ANd I think I insinuated they might be desperate. Um. Ok. Fine, I did more than insinuate that. STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID KELSEY. Gah.

Upon further reflection, I think they sound LOVELY, not desperate and it is I who am DESPERATELY hoping my blog is not EVER EVER EVER seen by them. (They found me via different means.)

Do i delete the post entirely? Hmm. Might be too late.

Take the dork way out, and ask forgiveness of the internet at large in case they saw it and then see this as well….?

Quit blogging and get to work polishing up that manuscript I hope they might not burn into ashes upon its arrival?

Oh please, if they can’t take what is clearly a joke, they don’t deserve to…what do they do, publish? Whatever it is. People should not be able to function at all if they can’t take a joke. That’s my take on things.

I’m still here just haven’t commented in awhile. And since I see here that it’s national de-lurking week… I thought I’d let you know… I’ve turned into a lurker. :-)

Best of luck on the manuscript!!

I lurk occasionally, but I’m still around, even if I don’t comment on every single post.

Good luck getting that manuscript published! Any interest is a good thing, or so I hear. :-)

You’re SO not stupid!! Jeana’s right. They should understand that it’s a joke (if they ever even see it anyway). Besides, as publishers, I’m sure they understand that authors have to watch their backs too.

To me, your comment about Capstone sounded self-deprecating, as if you don’t think you deserve this opportunity. I’m sure publishers are used to hearing less than confident authors make comments like that, so I wouldn’t worry about it. If they’re professionals, they won’t let that little comment bother them.
A few months ago, after spending a year saying that I wanted to build up my business and not doing anything about it, I received an offer from my dream company looking for freelancers. It was as if God just said, “Okay, April, if you aren’t going to do what I want you to do, I’m going to just drop this opportunity in your lap.” What a blessing. It certainly got me out of my rut of wishing for something I wasn’t willing to work for.
If you don’t go with Capstone, at least consider this God’s encouragement to pursue something. The absolute worst that can happen is a rejection letter.

Okay…I’m de-lurking! Most of the time I hesitate to comment because I don’t have a blog. But regardless, I’ve enjoyed reading here for quite a while now! You’re a gifted writer, and I hope the whole publishing thing works out for you!

What? That was a joke? I so don’t get it… :)

And is no one going to comment on my “blessed” comment? Sheesh. This is comedy at its best, people.

And Kelsey, have you called Capstone yet? Because I’m with Boomama. I’ll totally pretend to be you (but of course without your cool factor and beautiful shoes) and convince them that I’m, I mean, you’re so interested and happy that they contact you. Capice?

DeLurkers Week?

Found your blog from a link on someone else’s blog this morning. It’s been a good morning for blog reading, thanks for doing your part.

And Good luck with that book! Did you call them yet?
