Love that you took his “help” so well. You are that friend that I call with my researched opinions and plead me case to! I have a good friend who lets me lobby her as she does not have time to do the research (I have 2 kids she has 4 — hello! how would you have time with 4???).

I always feel guilty for not knowing all the candidates for every office (especially the bazillion and one local offices) and worry that I might be voting for a real creep. But apparently I don’t feel as guilty as I think I do since I never bother to research every single candidate for every single office. Who has the time? I have a job, and a house to clean, and a blog to keep up! Priorities, people!

My daughter was really excited to vote with me, back when we voted cause we have been pretty vocal in our house about our support of a certain candidate. So when I went to vote I wanted to see if she recognized his name on the ballot. I held the ballot out to her and said, who do we want to vote for? It occured to me later that those sweet old ladies who man the polls probably think that I voted for whoever my 4 year old happened to point to at random. They were probably horrified.

Since I live with the above un-named kitty, I will update you on his reaction to the possibility of being elected. When I mentioned he would be expected to serve a term in public office, he coolly raised his long white eyebrow whiskers and reminded me that cats do not SERVE – they receive service. Now if it involved a permanently full food bowl, he might be willing to re-consider the offer. Love, J-mom
