My Mom found her tumor that way and when she went for the mammogram they couldn't even spot it. I'm so glad she was taking the time to check and know her own body. It saved her life! Same reason that I periodically check moles and any age spots on my skin - so I know when they change. I'm not leaving it to periodic mammograms. That’s a great point.
