I gave my mom a hard time, growing up, too. I think everyone does, really--except my MIL who claims she was a perfect child and never screamed "I hate you" at her parents, like the 7yr old me did. "I hope your kids are just like you, one day when you're a mom!" I remember my mom saying that a few times--in a moment of frustration (though she claims she never did). And now, my first child is a million times worse, so I don't really know if that was true justice or not. You’re not alone. I gave my mom a hard time, growing up, too.
