Mini Blog Monday

On the way to school this morning,  the boys and I discussed the day ahead. When it was my turn, I told them I was going to take a Hot Yoga class – where the heat is at 90 degrees and the humidity at 60% and you’re supposed to sweat so much that you have to mop up your own puddles before you leave. “Doesn’t that sound like a fun thing to try?!” I asked.

In perfect unison, all three boys said, “No.” (pause.) “No, it does not. ”

One of the voices added quietly, “sounds like what we call a Bad Idea.”

And then they got excited about their favorite part of the drive: reading the very important messages that are on the electronic billboard thing over the freeway right before the exit to their school. Sometimes it’s about construction updates. Or fire bans. No matter what it is, they are interested.

I’ll tell you about Hot Yoga some other time – I’m kinda shaking too much to keep typing and I”m too hungry to think.

Aww, you are so nice! Thanks for the plug!

I totally agree with your boys on the Hot Yoga. Baaaad idea. Of course, with me it wouldn’t take anywhere near 90 degrees for there to be a puddle to wipe up. If physical activity is involved it could be 60 degrees and I’d be sweating. Okay, maybe that’s TMI. Or maybe I just need to start working out. Does gardening count? :D

Hot Yoga sounds a little like a foretaste of hell. the boys are right. BAD idea.

awww! You’re so sweet to link back to me! Of course you can use my name. I think a few clicks and most would be able to figure it out anyway… if they care to go through that much trouble. Lol.

And the whole sweaty-bendy-90 degrees humidity thing sounds like a bad idea to me too. Just sayin’

Your boys crack me up! I think they hit the nail right on the head — If you want to play in heat and humidity like that, you guys should come visit us on the coast of GA. It’s a lot more fun to play on the beach than to sweat just for the sake of sweating ;-)

If I’m going to exercise, there had better be cool air around me and preferably a fan blowing on me!!! I sweat just thinking about moving. (Stupid hormones!)

I love that all three boys were in one mind and one accord! I really chuckled about that.

I’m pretty sure there’s a connection between sweating, exhaustion, and blood sugar issues.

As usual, the wisdom of three little boys prevails.

I like to sweat when I exercise, but hot yoga doesn’t sound that great to me either. My sister-in-law did that for a while tho and enjoyed it…I hope you did too! :)
