Strep throat, if left untreated, can turn into Scarlet Fever. (Happened to me just before my 10th birthday.) The good news is that with today's antibiotics Scarlet Fever is both rare, treatable, and pretty much only fatal if you don't see a doctor and get medication. Glad you got pills from the doc so it won't happen to you. Just be sure to take them and get lots of rest. Jan’s right. Strep throat, if left untreated, can turn into Scarlet Fever.
